The Mercenary Guild is an organization in the service of the united commonwealth of the Rune-Midgard Kingdom, the Shwarzwald Republic, and the Arunafeltz States. Mercenaries perform dangerous requests from Guild Masters (Monster and MvP hunting, Card Collection) and are highly respected among experienced adventurers. For completed tasks, Mercenaries are paid with
Mercenary Coins, which can be spent on various services provided by Guild Masters (Random Options, Enchantment and Reroll, Headgear and Costume making, Backpack and Mount hiring, Enriched Stones crafting, Build management, Dungeons access). Mercenaries also have access to special shops (Foods and other Consumables).
Just like
Rebirth Coins and
Battleground Badges,
Mercenary Coins can be traded with other players or sold via Vending.
The Mercenary Guild head office is located in one of the buildings on the central square of Prontera. For some unknown reason, the Mercenary Guild Masters call it ‘The House of the Sun’, and the Guild itself is led by a certain Sleeping Baron, whom almost no one has ever seen.

However, the Mercenary Guild is not such a secretive organization and accepts determined adventurers into its ranks. Maybe it’s time to become a soldier of fortune?

Become a Mercenary
To become a Mercenary, you first need to talk to Levington, the Steward, who can be found in the central part of the building.
Ask him about the Mercenary Guild for the first 2 lines:
- What kind of place is it?
- Who are you?

After a short conversation, Levington will offer you to sign a contract with the Mercenary Guild. If you agree, after signing the contract, he will give you a
Mercenary Badge, and you’ll get access to all tasks and services.
Note: Mercenary Badge allows you to return to the Mercenary Guild once per 10 minutes.

Marcus, the Huntsman
Marcus is the master who receives reports on completed hunting missions and gives rewards according to mission difficulty.

He also rents out various rings for better hunting:

Hunting Mission Boards
There are several Hunting Boards located at the top-right part of the Mercenary Guild.

Hunting Boards are divided by difficulty and are only available to characters of a certain level.
Each mission is divided into 2 parts. You have to complete both of them to get the reward.

Missions are given randomly depending on the level of the Board. You can’t get more than 1 task from each Board. A new task will be available when you complete the current one.
The more difficult the task is, the more EXP and
Mercenary Coins the character will receive for completing it:
- Level 10~45: 2

Nathan, the Headhunter
Nathan is the master who works only with the most desperate mercenaries. He gives out rewards for the heads of the most dangerous monsters in Midgard — MvPs. He is not interested in the problems and difficulties you may encounter when completing special tasks. There is a head — there is a reward. More heads — more Mercenary Coins. Not alive, just dead. This is all.

Special Task Board
MvP hunting tasks can be taken on the Special Task Board located at the top-right part of the Mercenary Guild, right behind Nathan.
Special tasks are available for characters who have joined the Mercenary Guild and whose Base level is 80 or higher.
By agreeing to complete a special task, you will receive a list of 3 random MvPs. Wanted targets will be added to the Quest Log (Alt+U).

You can complete the quest and get a reward by killing at least 1 MvP. However, if you defeat all 3 targets, the reward will be increased by 30

Jennette, the Fortuneteller
Jennette is the mysterious soothsayer who can predict one’s fate by the combination of cards. You can find her at the top part of the Mercenary Guild.

If you are not superstitious enough and not afraid of the secrets of the future, you can take the Card Collection task, for completing which you will be generously rewarded with
Mercenary Coins and a Tarot Deck.
Note: Tarot Cards can be used in the Prophecy System, which will be introduced in the next update.
Card Collection System
Jennette names a few random non-boss
Cards, collecting which you will receive a reward.
First, she allows you to select a deck:
- Small Deck (3
Cards) - Medium Deck (5
Cards) - Large Deck (7
Cards)
Each deck has a different reward for collecting:
- Small deck: 60
Mercenary Coins and 1 Tarot Deck. - Medium deck: 130
Mercenary Coins and 2 Tarot Decks. - Large deck: 200
Mercenary Coins and 3 Tarot Decks.
When you have chosen a deck, you can perform several manipulations:
- Fully shuffle your card set, changing current cards to other random ones — 1 time per hand
- Randomly swap the lower half of the cards to other random ones — 2 times per hand
- Select any card to pick it out and randomly change it to another one — 2 times per hand
- Use
Joker Card to replace any selected card — 1 time per hand
If a proposed card set seems too difficult, you can decline the current Card Collection Quest. In this case, you’ll get a 12-hour cooldown before you can take a new Card Quest.
Jennette also owns her little shop:
- Old Card Album - 120
Mercenary Coins - Tarot Deck - 200

Clarisse, the Hatter
Beautiful look is one of the most important components of the game. Clarisse knows everything about it. You can find her on the right side of the Mercenary Guild.

She can:
- Make a Costume from almost all hats in the world.
- Exchange a
Hairstyle Coupon for 50 curls of various monster hair. - Exchange a
Hair Dyeing Coupon for a random
Dyestuff. - Exchange a
Cloth Dyeing Coupon for any 2
Dyestuffs of the same color.
Headgear Recipes
Headgear Recipes shop is Clarisse’s greatest pride. Headgears created by Recipes are more powerful than ordinary headgears and open up new opportunities for leveling, farming, or fighting enemies.
It is not hard to create a hat, — Clarisse always says. — First, read the recipe carefully. There you can see the ingredients needed for headgear creation.
When you collect all necessary parts, just use the recipe with a double click, close your eyes and say: ‘Miracle!’
What next? Enjoy your new appearance, of course! ~
All Headgear Recipes are divided by “Episodes”, and each one costs a certain amount of
Mercenary Coins. The list of Headgears, their bonuses, and Recipe prices can be found on the Headgears page.
Rebirth Headgear Recipes
Clarisse also has a special shop for those who are brave enough to reach maximum level and be reborn.
Rebirth shop provides unique recipes for items on the middle and bottom of the head for
Rebirth Coins. For the full list of Rebirth Headgears, their bonuses, and Recipe prices, please visit the Headgears page.
Note: Clarisse promises to replenish both of her shops with new recipes in every future update.

Rosamund, the Maritant
Greedy for
Mercenary Coins, Rosamund, however, owns a store whose assortment won’t leave anyone indifferent. Some goods are so rare that Rune-Midgardians have never seen them before.
But now, Rosamund’s shop is open to all mercenaries. The only question is: “Do you have enough Coins?”
You can find Rosamund at the top-left part of the Mercenary Guild.

Bertholdo, the Smith
Bertholdo is the oldest master of the Mercenary Guild. He is the only person in the Rune-Midgard kingdom and beyond who can craft Enriched Stones and materials for Random Options changing. Many lords and nobles wanted to buy his services, but Bertholdo only works with mercenaries.
You can find him in his forge located at the bottom-left part of the Mercenary Guild building.

Enriched Stones
Enriched Stones are improved versions of regular Oridecon and Elunium. The chance of successful refine using Enriched Stones is calculated twice.
To create enriched stones, Bertholdo asks for the following materials:
Enriched Oridecon: 5
Oridecon, 10
Rough Oridecon, 10
Mercenary Coins, 650 000 Zeny.
Enriched Elunium: 5
Elunium, 10
Rough Elunium, 10
Mercenary Coins, 650 000 Zeny.
Abrasive Stones
Abrasive Stones allows to change Random Option of an item to another Random Option of the same Option Group. That is, magic weapons (staves, books, magic daggers) can roll magic Random Options only. Range weapons (bows, whips, musical instruments and guns) — range Random Options. And melee weapons (daggers, swords, spear, axes, maces, knuckles, katars and huuma shurikens) — in its turn, melee Random Options. Other equipment parts (Headgears, Armors, Garments, Footwears, Shields and Accessories) have their own Random Option Groups, which can also be re-rolled with Abrasive Stones.
There are 4 types of Abrasive stones:
Rough Abrasive Stone, which changes 1st Random Option of an item.
Sharp Abrasive Stone, which changes 2nd Random Option of an item.
Smooth Abrasive Stone, which changes 3rd Random Option of an item.
Delicate Abrasive Stone, which changes 4th Random Option of an item.
Bertholdo is ready to make each abrasive stone for a specific fee:
Rough Abrasive Stone: 30
Coal, 30
Iron Ore, 5
Great Nature, 10
Mercenary Coins, 1 500 000 Zeny
Sharp Abrasive Stone: 20
Iron, 10
Steel, 5
Rough Wind, 10
Mercenary Coins, 1 500 000 Zeny
Smooth Abrasive Stone: 10
Rough Oridecon, 5
Rough Elunium, 5
Flame Heart, 10
Mercenary Coins, 1 200 000 Zeny
Delicate Abrasive Stone: 3
Oridecon, 3
Elunium, 5
Mystic Frozen, 10
Mercenary Coins, 1 800 000 Zeny
Take attention: By default abrasive stones reroll Random Options of Book-type weapons to another Magical Random Options, while for Star Gladiators these options are useless.
That’s why Bertholdo accepts special orders for creating materials, which allow to reroll Random Options of a Book-type weapon to another Physical Random Option:

If you’re interested in Marybeth’s services, you can find her in the top area of the Mercenary Guild. It only remains not to fall under her spell yourself.

Manuel, the Skald
Manuel is a wandering Skald who entertains mercenaries with stories of heroes and beauties, and knows the history of the Mercenary Guild. Perhaps he will share this story with you when the time comes.
And one drunken crow said that Manuel has some special boxes that he sells to travelers from time to time. But is it worth believing the rumors?
In any case, you can find Manuel on the stage, slightly higher than where the reception is located.
